For now, Turks and Caicos’s aura of seclusion remains a powerful selling point.  Although it still has a remote feel it’s become very easy to get to, but, I still get people asking me where it is after 12 plus years of living here.

There are now nonstop flights to Turks and Caicos from London, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Charlotte, N.C., Atlanta and Miami (and Toronto during high season) which gives the islands an advantage over some competing destinations.

Grace Bay Club, Point Grace, and Parrot Cay resorts on Turks and Caicos that made Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List for 2005. Grace Bay Club and Parrot Cay were also included for the first time on Travel and Leisure’s list of 500 top hotels for 2005.

Perhaps this description of one of our local restaurants will explain just how quiet and laid back life here still is…Aqua Bar and Restaurant is beloved by locals and visitors alike (including frequent visitor Jimmy Buffet).  Overlooking the marina in Turtle Cove, you can dress casually for dinner or enjoy lunch in your bathing suit sipping off the suds of Turks Head Lager and join in the laid back merriment.
